Using the Internet at the Library
The Mariposa County Library provides free access to the Internet to meet the information needs of our users and to provide residents with opportunities for learning about information technology. The library is not responsible for the quality or accuracy of material found on the Internet. Users should critically evaluate its content.

Computers
Public access computers are available at all branch libraries for the use of adults and children. All users must sign up in advance to use the computer stations. Please read our Internet Policy & Guidelines. Each branch library has a least one public computer with a usable USB port, allowing for the use of thumb drives.

The computers provide Internet access, as well as word processing, spreadsheet, publishing, and reference programs. Users also have access to interactive learning programs designed for elementary through high school age students. Children's programs include interactive learning games for preschoolers to beginning readers.

Online Catalogs
The online catalogs in the library allow users to look up items by title, author, subject, keyword, call number, etc. Users can place holds on items that are currently checked out, or place holds on items owned by other libraries.
