Mariposa Seed Library
Mariposa County Library maintains a community owned seed library, located in a small file cabinet beside the Reference Desk in the main branch Mariposa Library. A seed library is a self-perpetuating collection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. We have received generous donations from seed companies and accept donations from the public. People in local communities share seeds from their gardens and yards. We are looking for vegetables, herbs, and flowers that do well in our zone 7 climate. See Mariposa Seed Library brochure for more information, including "How to Use the Seed Library."
This area of the main library includes the large print collection, as well as books and magazines of special interest to older adults and their caregivers. An information center offers pamphlets that cover areas of concern for adults which patrons may take with them. A reading area with special lighting and comfortable chairs is available for patrons to sit, relax and enjoy reading. More about Senior Services
